Soccer Expert Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's 10-game victorious streak came to an end by Sunderland before the global hiatus, however will the English top division frontrunners bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs boss Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their sparkling finest this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, versus artificial intelligence, readers and a range of special visitors.

In week 12, he takes on performer Olly Murs, who is a United supporter.

The singer's latest record, Knees Up, is available on the weekend.

Football and Parenting Experiences

Olly is a skilled soccer player as well as a accomplished singer and has been a featured player of several Soccer Aid matches over time - but he is not planning a serious comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "The team was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

The singer and his wife his partner have two children, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by becoming their manager.

"I will not push football on our kids but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my coaching badges - and I will likely be coaching their Saturday football side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I clearly was involved with a football club for a period too.

"My dad did it with us when I was a kid, which is likely where I inherited it. He managed our side for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to be patient for their star's comeback from fitness issues but their attack is already more potent with Pedro and Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this fixture will be fairly close, though. Burnley are well organised and their sole home losses so far have been against the Reds and Arsenal.

This smells of a 1-1 draw to me, but I am in fact going to go with the London side to win narrowly for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Bournemouth have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were on the road - but they got absolutely spanked by Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham secured back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear competitive again.

West Ham's sole on the road victory this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno Espirito Santo was still that team's coach.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Aston Villa was a blip.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but West Ham have picked up under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Bees were considered one of the favourites for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few observers under Keith Andrews and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

A family member told me to select Bees striker Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, guess what, I didn't listen.

Thiago will likely find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had great fortune on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. Brentford will attempt to hit them on the break but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's prediction: 2-1

The singer's view: It could be a match where you think there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their last six games.

Fulham have got plenty of talent in their team but it still seems like they could be dragged into a drop zone fight.

As for Sunderland, indeed they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all tie with the Gunners last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and they were fully competitive for them.

The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

But I am not do that. Rather, I truly need to continue going against the away team with my predictions. I am claiming a lot of responsibility for their good results because they evidently enjoy to prove me wrong.

Looking at the home side's home form, the sole side they have been defeated by is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be extremely desperate for a good result, so I am going to predict they will secure three points.

The expert's forecast: 1-0

Olly's choice: I know the visitors are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0

AI's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

This is a tough one to call. Liverpool have suffered seven of their last ten games in every tournament, but might they be among the teams who profit from the {international break|
